Pförtner was founded by the brothers Fritz and Heinz Pförtner in 1952 under the name:

Gebrüder Pförtner Meß- und Regeltechnik GmbH & Co KG.

In the first decade we mainly produced mechanical temperature and pressure gauges

In the next ten years the product branches were extended with electronic and electomechanical instruments as well as temperature sensors. To ensure the quality of our products, we established a calibration laboratory were we can measure and generate temperatures from -160 up to 500 °C.

In the last ten years we mainly invested in our mechanical production equipment. Today we have several CNC lathes, milling mashines and a deep hole boring lathe, with which we can produce solid drilled thermowells up to 1000 mm length. To be able to deliver sheated resistance thermometers and thermocouples from our own fabrication, we recently invested in a laser - welding unit
